Any European travelogues out there?

Does anybody have a web site where we can see their travelogue? I love looking at them - it helps me to go to Europe without actually going there. All you have to do is list you web address and we can all enjoy your trip and your travelogue!

Don't know exactly what you mean by "travelogue", but I just spent some time on www.virtourist.com. There are some virtual tours of most of the European cities, and some are quiet good, with a little tongue-in-cheek thrown in for good measure. Enjoyed my time on the site and will return when I get "homesick" for Europe.

Hi, Katie!

If you do a search of "Pictures Please?"
you'll find a couple of websites not given this go around. (And, you will see a fascinating exchange about two of our lovely "regulars".
I'd like to see all the combined as well as Danna's request for "virtual tours". Perhaps another day...
Ciao!
Gloria

I forgot about "Gypsy Journals" at http://www.gypsyjournal.com/ Some of the best journals are of Asia, but there are some other interetsing ones. I used this site for a general journal on Macedonia. The man who maintains the site has done a great job is creating a simple means to get a travel journal online. It's NON-COMMERCIAL and no, I don't get nuthin' for posting this -- just the warm feeling of sharing something nice with folks.

Just getting around to the Europe travelogues, but I have two (yes, one brand new) web sites with travelogues and photos. One is at www.oneeyed.homestead.com (travelogues and travel photography - so far I have written about the Yucatan, working on Civil War battlefields - ignore the text for now and look at the photos, Washington, D.C., and Charleston, SC). I will be adding some text and photos from Las Vegas, Seattle, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, France, St. Louis (upcoming business trip), Toronto, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and maybe Belgium. For the places not already on the site, the photos will come first. I just started a site of my photos and some travel tips for my home state of North Carolina (www.tarheelphotos.homestead.com). My sites change almost daily now as I have been spending quite a bit of time on them lately after a few months away. Both sites are linked.

Thanks to everyone who has posted a link to a travel site. I am looking forward to visiting them - I have recently decided to go to London this summer so if you know of any good places to go or something I shouldn't miss I'd love to hear about it. Thanks again!!

Hi Katie:

The Long Trip Home is an online literary magazine for travelers, and it has many great travelogues about quite a few different places, Europe being one of them.
