Antwerp or Brussels
 

We are planning a tulip gazing river trip next spring that will end in Antwerp. We will then take the Eurostar from Brussels to continue our holiday in London. We're thinking of spending a few days in Belgium before taking the train. We've visited Brussels and Brugge and enjoyed both. Now we're wondering whether to return to Brussels or to remain in Antwerp. Anyone with good ideas? Hotel recommendations and ideas for lenghth of stay will also be appreciated.

Why not Antwerp? It's wonderfully interesting and the food is fantastic. Have you seen Ghent? It's lovely.

Apart from the Grand Place, I find Brussels a largely unpleasant place to be.
