Antwerp, Brussels or Amsterdam?

Husband traveling on business and will be in the Netherlands for two weeks. He will be in Etten-Leur. On the weekends he will have some time free and is trying to decide which cities to visit. He loves food and fine dining so I was thinking perhaps Brussels. If any of you have any favorite restaunts/cafes etc....that you like please share!

Comme chez soi in Bruxelles has 3 Michelin stars - but I don't think its all its cracked up to be.

My favourites for fine dining in Bruxelles are Bruneau (two stars) and
L'Ecailler du Palais Royal http://www.lecaillerdupalaisroyal.be/

Don't miss Amsterdam. Wonderful city. Totally enjoyed Brussels as well but A'dam's first choice.

I've just been to both and I would say don't go to Brussels, go to Bruges instead. Especially since he will be doing business during the week, Bruges will be much more relaxing and has plenty of fine restaurants.

How about Restaurant Parkheuvel in Rotterdam (not that far away from Etten-Leur).
They have 2 Michelinstars, so talking about wonderful food......

Fun is the Chinaboot, also in Rotterdam, dine and sail through the harbor. check:http://www.chinaboat.nl/
It is in dutch, maybe you can get a translation from somebody.

I agree with Lyb, go to Bruges (Brugge).
It has a lot to offer, and all of the sitghtseeings can be visited on foot, you don't need to take buses or subway..
and as for restaurants, it has as good , or even better restaurants than Brussels has.
One of my favourites is 'den gouden Harynck'

Of course you could also go for an other 3* Michelin restaurant : 'de Karmeliet'

Of your three choices, I'd definitely recommend Amsterdam as a place for a weekend visit.

However, I also agree with the other posts that say you may like Bruges so if you haven't ruled that out then I'd definitely consider it.

I think Parkheuvel has ***, unless they lost a star since I last looked at it. I wanted to go in February, but they were booked.

Don't read Dutch, but this looks like the current Michelin-starred restaurants in Netherlands:

(And Parkheuvel does have ***.)

Brugge above all others mentioned
