Ants in My Pants!
I'm sitting here in my office with 90k FF miles burning a hole in my pocket and a huge desire to fly away! Shall I be a Grasshopper and go or an Ant and save them for a more well planned out trip when I can take more time?

What do you all do when the urge to go is upon you?
|
Go now! You never know what will happen tomorrow - so enjoy today! I, too, am longing to get away. Will December 8th never come??? (I'm leaving for NY and then on to London for 6 nights).

You know me, grasshopper...when I get the urge, I quit my job and go! So guess which side I would lean toward in your case? :)

Where are you thinking of going? If those FF miles are on an iffy airline, I'd use em up quick! National Airlines went under today without much notice (besides their two year bankruptcy, that is...) I wonder where United will be in a couple of years....

Go, Go, Go! I booked a trip to London & Paris in April with ff miles. Then decided I could not possibly wait until April. I got a really good fare into Munich and out of Paris in Dec. so am going for 5 days Christmas markets and finish with 4 days in Paris. I am so excited. My whole outlook on all of life, especially work, improves when I have a trip to look forward to. Go when the urge hits you. I have never ever regretted a trip. No buyers remorse for travel. I would rather spend my time and money on travel than anything else in the world. Unfortunately I did not figure this out until my 40's so have to make up for lost time.

Dubious post. So, purchase three RT NYC-Philly fares and upgrade to first on each. Use the extra 15k for a magazine subscription.

OK, I am going to Keystone Saturday. (I know, wrong board). I will hop on the next cheap Pacific fare for London or Amsterdam and earn the miles back. Thanks for the push. Mina, I think I'll hang on to the job for awhile. :-)

x, dubious post? Why would I do NYC to Philly? I live in SF.

In a word GO!
But pick someplace new interesting fascinating -- or do what I'd do -- go to Paris ;)

I would say go. One never knows what may happen tomorrow.
