Antique Shops London Wedgwood

I am looking for antique shops where I can find Wedgwood Queensware pattern. It is discontinued and hard to find in the US.

Try grannies attic, and bric-a-brac shops, any half decent antique shop would not even glance at it, let alone Mallet's or Patridges.

Have you tried Ross stores here at home? They have a very large selection if you are just looking for replacement pieces of the newer things

Just FYI.....did a search on Google by typing in 'Wedgewood Queensware London' and the following online catalogue came up. Has several listings for Queensware items. Just click on one of the two items on the list (Queensware mug or Queensware plate) and a whole new page will open up with a list of people who are each selling that particular item.

m_kingdom, thanks for the information I love Queensware but it is VERY pricey here. Is Grannies attic in Horncastle?

Jody, Wedgwood Queensware has been discontinued for years so it is not generally in stores.

BrimhamRocks, thanks that looks like an interesting site. This is what I am looking for:

Thanks for the HELP!

adoptionisfab..

Sorry but they still have a large selection at my Ross..I saw it just a few days ago. I have a few pieces that I use in conjunction with RW Evesham..the central pattern is similar except for the border.

I have seen Queensware at both Ross and Marshalls in the last 5 or 6 months. I do not collect it - but do know what it is.

In London (if you haven't found what you need in the US) go into "second hand" type shops and bric a brac/antique shops. Not high end antiques dealers, but more like neighborhood catch all shops. Also check out car boot sales.

I just realized that you are asking about that blue and white pattern! I was refering to the Queen's pattern which is similar to evesham with fruits, etc!

Have you tried ebay..there are 5 pcs settings for 75 dollars listed right now..don't think you could do better in UK

I was going to suggest EBay, but Jody beat me to it. It's a great place to find pieces of china.

You can try:

http://replacements.com/

They are in North Carolina.

Good luck.

Well, hmmmm....that website I posted above has Queensware listed on it, as I said. However, that Queensware is completely different than what you are looking for. Sorry!!

Thanks for all the help. EBAY is a great source but I am constantly outbid. Is ROSS Ross dress for less?

If you're in London try The Reject China Shop...it is not all rejects!.. it's right up the street from Harrods on the corner of Beauchamp Place.

Found a wedgewood message board here

http://www.worldcollectorsnet.com/we...woodboard.html

by doing a google search for
wedgewood AND queensware AND London

You might have a look or post your question there.

BTW, you can take a day trip to the Wedgewood factory from London. :)

Southern Living Magazine has a number of replacement china ads listed in the back of each issue. You might try there.

Thanks for all your help, I bought a set on EBAY LAst week!

ira Nov 14th, 2003 01:48 PM

Hey, good for you!

jody Nov 14th, 2003 03:16 PM

Good for you!!

I've been having No luck at all on ebay the last week! since you got lucky, maybe my turn is coming!!

BrimhamRocks Nov 14th, 2003 03:44 PM

I'm getting most of my Christmas shopping done on eBay this year, lol. I have found some unique things on there, for even the most hard-to-buy-for people on my list. Beats paying for generic, mass-produced schlock in the retail shops!

adoptionisfab Nov 14th, 2003 04:05 PM

Instead of London I just vegged close to home and went to antique stores, saw what I wanted for 300 bought a whole set on Ebay for 300. I like EBAY but it is a bit addicting. I bought a coat yesterday and I don't know why. Some weeks on Ebay you get great stuff others nothing.

I have also recently seen alot of adds for ROSS I did not realize it was more lake MArshalls than an off price clothing store.
