Anticipated tube strike

Hello,
I just heard that there is a planned London tube strike set for the evening of 9/3 through 6 pm on 9/6 with the possibility of another strike on 9/10.
Just heard the news from my mother since we'll be arriving in London on the 6th.

Three tube lines are still running -- Piccadilly, Northern and Jubilee. The rest may be able to start back Friday morning. And yes, they do plan another strike next Monday.

This strike has caused very significant disruption to travel in London and a degree of chaos on buses etc in busy periods as people packed onto them trying to get to and from work. Tourists would be well advised to plan to travel well outside rush hour on buses or the lines that remain open and/or walk. Talks with Unions have continued and there is now a return to work scheduled for today [wednesday] so some of the lines will start to reopen. However further strike next week remains a possibility.

Tube strike cancelled - but it'll be this evening before things are back to normal and next week's strike hasn't been cancelled
