Antibes or Villefranche-sur-Mer?

We would like to spend a couple days down on the Cote d' Azur area after our week in Provence before flying out of Nice. Would you recommend Antibes or Villefranche? I have always wanted to do Eze but sadly my knees would not survive it. We will be there the first week of May.
Thanks for your help!

Villefranche is quite steep also.

Antibes is flat as a French crepe if I recall correctly - a lovely regional town with just east of it some of the nicest sandy beaches around- a market town with outdoor market some days.

Villefranche is nice too but different as it spills down to the old port area and looks more to me like an Italian seaside town-seems more congested but either is sweet. Villefranche may be more quaint picturesque than Antibes.

If driving Antibes seems easier than Villefranche

Both have train stations for easy access up and down the coast.

You can't go wrong IMO.

Spent a wonderful afternoon several years ago in Antibes after my taxi driver and I had a difference of opinion regarding the proper train station. Turned out to be a wonderful find. Easy to navigate, with no hills as I recall. My wife and I both enjoyed our afternoon and wish we had spent more time there.
