Antibes
Can anyone suggest a better place than antibes for a family with teenagers who want to be close to a lovely beach?
Can you tell me a place to stay with airconditioning? |
If by "lovely beach" you mean sandy; that's a rarity on the Cote d'Azur. Most beaches range from pebbles to rocks the size of a baby's head. The rockiest being Nice. Sandy beaches can be found in Cannes, Antibes, Villefranche, Beaulieu sur Mer (small beach)and very nice beach at Menton. I prefer the Nice area including Nice, Villefranche sur Mer and Beaulieu sur Mer. From here train and bus service to all the coastal towns, mountain towns above the coast and the hill towns is very easy and a car is not needed.

I noticed you have four destinations and five separate posts (one is a duplicate). Are you planning on visiting the south of France, Italy, and Greece all in one trip? Maybe you should condense all in one post?

Sorry I am not sure how to do that

jenjane; if you click on your own name, you will find your other posts. As people reply to your post, it moves up on the list.
For teenagers, I can think of no better place than Juan les Pins; lots of nightlife, sandy beaches, plenty of inexpensive restaurants for pizza etc. The Meridien is right on the beach, in the center of town. Antibes is right next to Juan les Pins, but it does not have as much beach. Otherwise, St Tropez; beautiful beaches, lovely town. If you can post what your budget is for hotels, it's easier for people to make recommendations. And when are you going? |
You might consider Fréjus, with fine beaches and a lively family atmosphere.
