Yes, that's the B&B recommended Mas Du Roc, friends stayed there last year 2 nights. Thinking for our first trip it may not be the best location.

At this point I'm leaning towards Antibes, 3-4 nights. Then St Remy and Luberon each 2 nights but since they are so close just maybe St Remy and do day trips. I found a few beautiful littles hotels in Luberon.

If money were no object and staying in Nice a must, I would definitely stay at La Perouse.

Old Town Nice could be noisy, but it is so charming. So many places to eat.

Nice is a very pleasant city with some beautiful art nouveau architecture. Love the Chagall Museum.

There is slso a very good market past the black train trestle on Jean Medicin.

We have based in Avignon, Aix, and Antibes. We did enjoy the location of Hotel Garoupe-Gardiole outside of the Antibes traffic. Small rooms, we had a small terrace, good breakfast and parking.

Close to Garoupe Beach. Keller Plage was a great beach club with an excellent restaurant for lunch or dinner.

The location was good for touring the Riviera towns.

Thanks, I will check the hotel, that's what I'm looking into in Antibes......there are a few I'm considering. Seems a bit difficult finding parking onsite.

At La Garoupe the parking is free.
You're at the beach there, but would need your car to get into town. Not a problem as there's a large carpark next to the old town. We've never had a problem parking there, even in summer.

We don't stay in hotels there, but every time I pass this one, I think how lovely it looks. It always looks clean and tidy from the outside. Location is on Cap d'Antibes on the road to Juan les Pins;

You'd need a car to get into town, but parking is free there.
Walking distance to Garoupe Beach.

La Perouse is an excellent hotel, once lived in by Raoul Dufy and Henri Matisse. The hotel rooms are on several different levels, reached by separate elevators, and from the landing of one you can look all the way down the Promenade des Anglais and see the views that the artists painted. There's a swimming pool surrounded by orange trees, as well as a large roof-top patio that includes what must be one of the world's best exercise rooms with a view.
