Another Paris NYEve question!
I can tell everyone is getting tired of this topic, but the more it's being discussed the more concerned I'm becoming. My husband and I would like to do a relatively low-budget, low-key dinner in Paris on New Year's Eve, preferably at an ethnic restaurant like Thai or Indian. Do you think this will require advance reservations? And while I'm asking, any recommendations for great Thai or Indian food in Paris? Thanks so much!

I love Punjab in the 7me, just off the Place Ecole Militaire on the Avenue de Tourville.

Thanks, StCirq! That would actually be super convenient since we're staying at Hotel Valadon in the 7th... Does Punjab accept and/or require reservations?

Don't know, Babaldas. We've always just walked in. Bonne chance!

Just remembered - there is also an excellent Thai restaurant on the corner of the avenue Duquesne and, I think, avenue de Lowendal, about 3 blocks from Punjab. Sorry, I don't remember the name, so it's probably not much help, butmaybe your hotel would know.
