Another Paris GTG!!! May 12 or 13

I know there have been tons lately, but our trip falls smack in the middle of two of them. I think there are few folks traveling in Paris that week.

SO and I are planning to go to our favorite restaurant, La Cave de L'Os Moelle during our trip. If anyone would like to join us, we will go on one of those nights and make a reservation. It is a great place, with the food all served family style, moderately priced.

We normally go and take our chances on who we will be sitting with, but it would be great for a GTG if anyone is interested.

Anybody???

maxmox May 2nd, 2009 02:23 PM

If we were going to be there we would have loved to join you... but alas we won't be there until July. I hope you have a great trip!

We'll miss you by less than a week. We'll be in Paris from the 15th- 23.

jsgreen May 2nd, 2009 11:00 PM

I'm green here, but my girlfriend and I might be interested if you're okay with it.

My folks were working in Paris about 6 years ago and I went to La Cave de L'Os Moelle with my mother. We met a charming old dance instructor and his young companion of British-African heritage who looked to outweigh him by about three times, and after dinner they invited us back to his home/studio/loft for coffee and conversation. It was the most memorable and enjoyable evening I've had traveling in the past 10 years.

Anyhow, we'll be hopping on a plane from Seattle in 3 days. Cheers!

I will be there ten too, is there a web site? Count me in! :) Either evening is o.k. with me right now. RosieCaro

I'm there with 3 other family/friends. We could do something on the 12th. I'd be excited to try this place.

Sounds like so much fun, but we have reservation already for the 12th. We are going to Versaille that day and knew we would want a dinner close to our apartment in the 7th. Enjoy!

Weird. I posted a long relpy to this. Wonder where it went...

Ok, I will make reservations tomorrow. Could everyone make it on the 13th? Or is the 12th better for most. I'm fine with either.

Please check in to make sure I get the guest count right.

There are two seatings - 7 & 9, I think. The later is probably better as they will kick you out for the next seating, though on a Tuesday or Wednesday, maybe not.

Guest count for now:
Cat and Mr. Kat - 2
jsgreen and girlfriend - 2
rosie - 1
nysmom & friends - 4

That is 9 so far. Scrap, if we go on the 13th are you in?

The restaurant itself doesn't have a website that I can tell, but here is a recent review.

Actually, I will make reservations Friday.

But if I make the reso's you all really need to be there.

Hi:
New member here but I have been on Trip Advisor for a few years. Is it too late to sign up for this get-together? I'm in Paris starting Saturday till May 18.

cat111719 May 6th, 2009 04:32 PM

No, boomer. I'll add you right now! How many?

scrapwithval May 6th, 2009 08:07 PM

Cat,

If it is on the 13th, Mr. Scrap and I are in. Let us know. What district are you staying in? We are in the 7th.

cigalechanta May 6th, 2009 08:10 PM

Sounds like fun as I know it will be with cat there
Wish I could be there!

boomer20031 May 7th, 2009 04:23 AM

Hi Cat:
I am travelling solo this trip. I'm staying in the 6th arrondissment. So is it the 12th or 13th?

scrapwithval May 7th, 2009 09:10 AM

Cat,

Did we decide on a date?

cat111719 May 7th, 2009 10:08 AM

Either date is fine with me - just waiting to hear from the others.

I have to go out for a few hours. I'll check back then. If everyone could post which date works, or if either works, then we'll see which date has the most people. Let's have 5pm tonight pacific time be the cut-off.

Cigale, we will definitely have a toast in your honor!!!

boomer20031 May 7th, 2009 10:35 AM

Hi. Either day works for me. thanks

scrapwithval May 7th, 2009 11:28 AM

The 13th please.

Mr. and Mrs. Scrap

cat111719 May 7th, 2009 05:22 PM

Ok, this is what I've got. We will go with the 13th.
