another ?? on what I can carry on (ladies)

We have 3 planes to our tour in Italy (and a bus and train)...anyway, can someone tell me if I can bring on creme to powder foundation. It's not a liquid, not a gel, but not sure what it would come under.

I hope someone knows what I mean by this product.

If it is not dry, no, you can't bring it.

That's what I've read -- anything that could be called a cream is banned.

However, I suspect you might get by with that if it is more solid than creamy. Why bring it aboard, just pack it.

I just returned from an Ireland trip. They took my mascara, eye drops and nose spray and those 'gel-type' lip tubes (the type that stay on all day). She looked at my chapstick and a concealer (in a lipstick type of container).

Well we leave San Diego and have 3 planes to take, then a bus to the Milan train station, and finally the train to Varenna. That's a long time to go without my cosmetics, toiletries etc. But more than that, I am worried that they will lose our stuff...particularly since there is so much more luggage being checked..

As well they might, Loisco, but if you try to take your makeup in carry-on, you run the risk of having it thrown away. Guess you'll just have to decide, which way will be the lesser risk.

International & domestic have different regulations, if you call the main information number for the San Diego airport they will connect you to the right people to answer your questions.

I did find this interesting though: If you are bringing deodorant in your carry-on, please be advised that not only should it be a solid, but it should be white. We flew this weekend and the gentleman ahead of us in the security line had to ditch his because although it was solid it was blue in color.

A good rule of thumb might be, when in doubt - check it.
Is there time for you to buy a powder? Then you can be absolutely sure that it will be allowed.

Personally, I hope San Diego is very, very strict.

If this keeps up, I'm going to buy stock in mineral powder make-up.

I'm also afraid the airlines will lose my luggage, so I'm taking my 22 inch carry on with all the clothes on board and checking my back pack with the toiletries, make up and odds & ends. If the airlines lose something, I can replace toothpaste and mascara easier then my wardrobe. Hope it works.

If that's all you are checking, I'd just buy that stuff when I got to my destination.

As I was grocery shopping today, I wondered if they still make tooth powder and, if so, could it be checked...I hadn't thought of tooth powder in about 35 years.

Remember to check the weight limits for carry-on luggage for EU carriers.

If there's no metal on the container, put it in your pocket through security.
