another apartment in paris question, www.rentalfrance.com
 

We are looking inot renting the apartment on rue des vertus from www.rentalfrance.com,

any input on the street, I like the marais district. This is my 13 or 14th trip now, so I know paris well, just not this street. there will be 2 ladies on this trip.

Well, it's just at the edge of what I would call the Marais, but it's within easy walking distance. There's a very small Chinese neighborhood just there toward Arts et Metiers and in the other direction on Rue Bretagne is the Marché des Enfants Rouge. The general area near Temple is a mix of residential and wholesale jewelry businesses. You can look at the street on pages jaunes: http://tinyurl.com/2b2tcv

The street is quite narrow and being on the second floor probably means you don't get a lot of light in the apartment.

I just searched the map via google and it appears that it is very close to The Arts et mmtier Metro stop. I've stayed close by on rue Chapon. The area is residential, with the typical bustle of Paris. More to the edge of the Marais than actually in it. There are some good retaurants (Au Bascou, 404, Ambasade du Auvergne) in the area as well as places to buy food.
