Anonymous again?

I was/am all for registration, but we could surely have fun today if we were all anonymous again. It would be hard for Fodors, but what fun to have one anonymous day once in a while.

uncle_sam Mar 28th, 2003 01:32 PM

lynlor,<BR><BR>Isn't being called &quot;Uncle Sam&quot; annonymous enough?<BR><BR>;~))<BR><BR>US

lynlor Mar 28th, 2003 01:46 PM

I have so many &quot;funny&quot; replies in my head that I would like to say to thingorjus, sjeord, etc. etc. etc.......but I would like to say them as Joe., Bill, Josh, Mary, Tom , Dick and Harry. <BR><BR>I guess lynlor isn't ready to be &quot;that&quot; humorous.<BR><BR>I am sititng here laughing to myself....not ready for verbal attack yet.<BR><BR>Oh, for those days of total anonymity.

Anonymous Mar 28th, 2003 01:48 PM

Ha ha -- I got the ID you're all coveting.

Registered Mar 28th, 2003 01:53 PM

But are you &quot;Registered&quot; ?

lynlor Mar 28th, 2003 01:56 PM

Anonymous, you do have the name a want and I want to know who you are....ever tell?

WhoAmI Mar 28th, 2003 02:06 PM

Why not just register a second name (like I just did)?

lynlor Mar 28th, 2003 02:12 PM

You mean that you can register two names with one e-mail address?

WhoAmI Mar 28th, 2003 02:26 PM

I'm not sure about that. I used a different address from the one I first registered with, just in case.

lynlor Mar 28th, 2003 03:00 PM

Anonymous again, for one day and a free for all...what fun! <BR><BR>Uncle Sam you are braver than most ....willing to take on everyone....and I know that secretly you are having a &quot;ball&quot;. I need more anonymity.

gocats2002 Mar 28th, 2003 03:30 PM

Ditto. I miss some of my old alias, too. I had my &quot;intelligent&quot; one, my &quot;funny&quot; one. Remember Mike Hogsbig, or whatever the alias was (not me, not me!). He could always be counted on for saying stupid things, but it made for &quot;dynamic&quot; - kind of like Sjoerd, actually. We had some characters on here. Uncle Sam is still true to form, but I'd expect as much from our President.<BR>I think I contributed more to travel questions then, as I'd cruise the board more frequently. It's been pretty boring until recently. Thank goodness the editors are letting us have discussion about things on our minds (travel related, in a sense...).

WhoAmI Mar 28th, 2003 03:36 PM

I just tried to register another screen name using an address I've already used and it wouldn't let me. But it only takes a few minutes to set up a new hotmail or yahoo account, so you could theoretically have as many aliases as you like if it means that much to you

lynlor Mar 28th, 2003 03:52 PM

It isn't the most important thing in my life that is for sure. Are these new accounts free?<BR><BR>I just remember how much fun it was to be a different person all the tiime, but I am glad that they went to registration.<BR><BR>Thanks for your replies, &quot; Who am I.'<BR><BR>Taking time for a little joy and laughter in these tragic times is very important to me.<BR><BR>

uncle_sam Mar 28th, 2003 04:07 PM

gocats,<BR><BR>Thanks, you've got to stand up for what you believe...and btw, I enjoy your posts!<BR><BR>US

toulafan Mar 28th, 2003 05:48 PM

While it's a little more trouble, it really isn't that hard to post anonymously if one wants.<BR>

ira Mar 29th, 2003 04:57 AM

Hi lynlor,<BR> If you go to Yahoo.com you can register an eml account for free.

RNC Mar 29th, 2003 05:05 AM

posting under the same name keeps it interesting and easier to know points of views. I'm sure most people have different names for different topics.

I_am_anonymous Mar 29th, 2003 05:33 AM

I just registered my anonymous name. I am finally able to post the funny replies that pop in my head.

Anonymous Mar 29th, 2003 05:38 AM

Jealousy is so ugly.

Zeus Mar 29th, 2003 05:56 AM

I was actually ready to post a thread praising registration. At first I was opposed to it, but it seems like we are now back to travel, the reason for this website. Post political and religious opinions on the appropriate sites.<BR><BR>I love the fact that there are so few trolls now. It's also much easier to find people you want to talk to by using the search function. A definite upgrade in my book. Thanks Fodors!
