As others have mentioned, we do a lot of 4- and 5-night stays. Our week-long European stays have been too few and far between, sadly...
Near Chinon, the Loire Valley
Daglan, the Dordogne Valley
Istanbul*
Selva Gardena (aka Wolkenstein), the Dolomites
Montaione, Tuscany
*Same trip, but not quite consecutive days
For the record, I would gladly return to any one of those places in a heartbeat. So would ms_go.

Two that I didn't count:
Prague -- spent a week there for meetings, but half the time was at the Hilton, with a room overlooking the hotel's atrium, so I might as well have been on Mars
Rome -- I did have a room with a view at the Rome Marriott near the airport, but it overlooked the pool and the highway, so it was rather less The Eternal City and more The Eternal Conference Center

lol- some of u are quite funny.
Anyways, we've only stayed in Paris for more than 7 consecutive days (we spent I believe 14 days there). It's, so far, the only city I've cared to spend so much time in. So far, there isn't another European city that compares for us.

"It's, so far, the only city I've cared to spend so much time in."
I love Paris too, the first place I lived for a time outside the US. However, Europe for me is much more than cities as you might surmise from my list. Often a city is good for arrival and departure and a few days at one end or the other but my preference is for smaller towns and villages. I'm hoping one of these days to do a home exchange somewhere and am hoping for a lovely quiet spot for a month or 2. Anyone?

As I did not know the knuckle expression was specifically sexual I thought it was just generally unacceptable. See also "close to the bone".
lol, bilbo, I won't be able to use THAT expression again.
I too am interested in the point of this thread. are we going to have one on places in the US that we've all spent 7 days or more? or Australia? or.. what's the magic of 7 nights or more in Europe? As I live here and take a lot of holidays here [not surprising really] it's a bit pointless.
anyone interested in the weeks we used to spend in Sidmouth every summer when I was growing up? or our family holidays in North Devon when our kids were small? what about that week in Edinburgh when I was 12 and had a verucca?
thought not.
lol, Maine - Llandudno?
and Bromsgrove? MmePerdu, Bromsgrove?

Anne, the OP, Improviser, is exceptionally well travelled. Indeed, he once arrived at a place intending to stay for a week, and ended up staying there for seven years. (Yes, my baggage has been delayed at times too, but never for seven years).
So I think the intent is that at some time, he will come up with a list of places in Europe where he has spent more than a week. Or maybe not. Or maybe he is an armchair traveller.
