L'Ambroisie...a very special place and for me a very special evening but that was about 3 years ago..not sure about the food recently.

I would second the Jules Verne. We had our 25th anniversary lunch there 2 years ago (I was too late to book dinner) and it is a meal we will both remember and treasure the rest of our lives. The atmosphere, the view, the little extras, the wonderful food, the warm, friendly yet professional wait staff all contributed to a very special meal. Having a delicious meal with Paris at your feet will be an experience to cherish forever!

Congratulations and Happy Planning!

Bofinger is something of a Parisian institution, but it's touristy as can be and NOT a place I'd want to have a romantic dinner (think huge platters of choucroute royale and noisy dining room with waiters rushing all over the place). An "experience," but not an anniversary venue IMO.

Hey SW,

>that the baggage allowance is only 20kg. .....I am not too concerned about the price of our anniversary dinner.<

A. You wear your jacket. It is not part of the baggage allowance. You can also put things in the pockets.

B. Are you willing to go $1000, $600, $400, $200 for dinner?
