Annecy France in the rain?

We are currently in the Beaune area in Burgundy and could still our hotel in Annecy . It looks like thunderstorms the entire time...we are considering going to Dijon instead for two nights. Any advice if Annecy is worth the trip in very inclement weather?

Annecy is quite charming, but if you know it will be raining the entire time and Dijon will not, Dijon is certainly worth skipping Annecy for. Both are small towns that are very walkable. You won't be able to enjoy the lake area of Annecy, which is part of its beauty, if it is raining heavily.

Thanks Leburta, that's what we are thinking as well but hate to eliminate it . Appreciate your insight. Kelly
