Andorra

I just checked the boards and there is little written on Andorra.

We would prefer not to drive, so are we limited to buses if we come from Barcelona?

Does anyone have preferred hotels or restaurants?

What sites were of interest to you?

Any particular suggestions that would be helpful?

Thank you

There's not much written on Andorra because there's not much there ! Unless you're interested in cheap electronics, establishing a bank account, or skiing, there's no point in going there. Perhaps they still stamp passports to prove you've been there but otherwise ... nothing.

Thank you for the information.

We thought it might be a lark to visit Andorra. It sounds, however, like a mall in the sky.

Actually, there are a few interesting spots for trekking as well as skiing in Andorra. If you want to spend some time in La Seu d'Urgell, then you can be in Andorra in no time, depending on the traffic.

Andorra is fine as long as you avoid the main road Andorra la Viela/Soldeu/Pas de la Casa (unless you like shopping, traffic jams and huge crowds). Unfortunately it is not easy without a car.

Thanks for the information. Andorra sounds like the old Yogism-No goes there, it is too crowded.

IMDonehere Apr 18th, 2017 01:46 AM

That should be-No one goes there, it is too crowded.

If you want a very useful piece of info here it goes : I went to Andorra when I was a teenager and totally forgot about it.

Not one spark of reminiscence. So I guess it didn't leave a great inprint on me.

But if you're in the neighbourhood - like Liechtenstein, you can say you've been there. (I do remember about L, went twice, visited 2 of the main industrial companies theer !).
