Andalusia- Easter week

Andalusian experts, please comment on my itinerary for family with 1 teen-age daughter:
3 nights in Seville- Casa Imperial
fast train to Cordoba - 1 night
pick up car and drive to Granada
2 nights in Granada- Hotel Alhambra Palace (they have parking)
drive to Malaga-
last 3 nights at Parador Gibralfaro
fly Malaga back home

It looks fine, pretty much spot on if you are committed to nine nights.

Your itinerary is very balanced and you have an appropriate amount of time in each city to see what is there.

Make sure you plan to arrive in Granada during daylight, it's a little confusing enough to drive in once you get close to the river (streets with limited access and such) but I wouldn't want to arrive in the dark.

No specific questions?

As already mentioned, your itinerary looks pretty good, but I would opt for staying at the Parador in Granada instead of the Alhambra Palace. The Parador offers free parking to its Amigos members. You can become an Amigo when you first check in and use the free parking when you reach the Parador in Malaga.

The Parador de Granada, which is located on the grounds of the Alhambra, has recently been completely renovated and offers one of the best locations in the city, but it is a bit more expensive than the Alhambra Palace.

P.S. You don't mention when you will be traveling, but have you checked what specials are being offered by the Paradors? The 5-night special is always a good deal, if the Paradors are available.

I do not believe the Granada Parador to be available for next easter. And is never included in any offer. The Al. Palace is ok, when arriving to Granada take the motorway direction Alhambra.
These cities in Easter tend to be busy from 5PM till dawn, even more. Can you tell us your days in each?

tbo17,
About the Parador de San Francisco on the Alhambra hill:
Rooms are still available for some dates during Holy Week (just checked for Maudy Thursday), but they will cost a whopping 311 euros. Buffet breakfast will add another 19 euros p.p.

The 4 star Alhambra Palace is really quite nice, I've stayed several times, and the valet parking is a real bonus.

Have you considered the Hospes Casas del Rey de Baeza in Seville rather than the Casa Imperial? The Hospes would be my personal choice-same location.

Thanks for the responses. I thought the Casa Imperial would be very charming and their 2 bedroom suite is well priced- better that the de Baeza hotel, although I thought that looked great.
We are going to be in Seville 4-7, Cordoba- 7-8, Granad 8-10 and then the Parador in Malaga. I am most concerned about the Parador in Malaga- (Gibralfaro) is it too removed and will 3 nights be dull. We did get a half board deal with them. We are open for the last 3 nights- could go to another "cute" town. Thought we would fly out of Malaga back to JFK.

Had you considered the Parador in Nerja? Maybe 1 night Nerja the final 2 in Málaga? Nerja would be the logical fit between Granada and Málaga and offer a little down time between your city stays where the streets are busy and crowded until the wee morning hours.
And Málaga's Holy Week processions are quite renowned throughout Spain-josele can tell you all about them.
