Andaluciaa Safe?

My daughter and a friend will be making their way through the southern Spanish provinces in September. How is the Spanish attitude towards Westerners at the moment? We're worried it may not be too good given the current war etc. Thank you.

We travelled through there last November and had no problem at all. Treat people nice and it will be returned.

I was in Madrid on vacation the last two years, though i found some frustration with American policy there was no hostility to Westerners. As I am spanish speaking I got into some great conversations/discussions.

Echoing n_marquis...just be nice to people and be respectful of their country, they are far more likely to return that.

I was in Andalucia by myself in February, and I found everyone to be wonderfully friendly.

"Westerners" ? I think you mean US citizens. Spain itself is a Western country. Don't worry, the Spanish are very friendly, esp. if an attempt is made to speak their language.
