Andalucia without Granada-nuts?

We have a week in Andalucia and are considering staying the whole time near Seville and just doing day trips - we know it's too far to Granada but were wondering if we are nuts to miss it. Is staying our whole week in one place a good idea or bad? Any advice please...thanks.

Personally, I wouldn't stay just near Seville and do day trips and miss Granada if I had an entire week in Andalucia. Why not spend several days there and then move over to Granada for a night or two? The Alhambra, the Albacin, it's really something to behold.

You may also want to go as far as Marbella or Malaga so that you can get Ronda in.

It's easy to spend a whole week in Seville itself, so it's not nuts to stay there and do day trips (Cadiz, Jerez, etc.). However, Granada is a beautiful city and the Alhambra one of best sites to see in Spain IMO. I'd have to agree with Lisa that it's worth the effort to spend at least one night in Granada.

It is not nuts to miss Granada. It is nuts to miss the Alhambra.

Also a week in Seville is far too long. It's not that big a place. You could see/do everying in 3-4 days max.
