Andalucia route-can I do this?

Can I leave Seville early in the morning and arrive in Nerja that evening AND see Arcos de la Frontera, Grazalema and Ronda decently in the one day? Or should we break this route up with an overnite stop in one of the places?

There's no way I'd try that. I suppose it's possible, but I'd strongly suggest a night in Ronda. In a gorge-facing room at the Parador.

I agree with Brian. However, you could go from Seville to Arcos, walk around, then to ROnda, spend time walking, taking photos, shopping, etc., then either back to Seville or on to Marbella. I did that route and returned to Seville by about 10 that evening after walking around Marbella and having an early dinner, after our visits to ROnda and Arcos.

Too much to do in one day. Spend a night in Ronda. The town is so much nicer after the tourists have left. The Parador has nice views, but the Don Miguel's are better for less money. There is a new "boutique" hotel on the opposite side of the gorge, but I have not seen it.

Yes, take some time going from Seville to Marbella. This is a really lovely route to drive. On your way to Arcos from Seville, take 30 minutes in the little town of Espera to drive up to the castle ruins that sit right above the town. We were just there 04/10/02 and there was no one around. There was a great view of the town, as well as the surrounding hills and pastures, with the mountains to the East. Arcos is less than 30 minutes further south.
The Hotel el Convento is a great place to stay in Arcos, which is not so mobbed with day-trippers like Ronda.
With the time-change, the daylight lasts really late in Spain, which was just great and will only get better thru May.
Bien viaje!
