Muchas Gracias |
The itinerary looks fine but it is a bit like military bootcamp. The kids are young enough, so they don't complain too much for all of the driving.
Your title mentions the Fall 2007. If you're travelling in the early Fall, you might need to assure your car is air conditioned. Andalucia can still be very warm in the Fall. Anyway, have a good tour across Andalucia. Blackduff |
Six home bases in two weeks w/babies in tow is a bit nutty, specially when you are staying in an area that could be easily covered w/two home bases, max three. Way too much packing/unpacking. Stay in Nerja as planned, but from there day trip to Granada. From Ronda, explore the listed White Towns are areas nearby and continue looping on to Seville from where you can day trip to Cordova and Carmona. From there loop on to Marbella, stopping at Arcos. Max of three home bases and you covered the same territory. Again, none of the listed cities are too far from a logical home base. Again, strong recommendation that you cut your home bases in half.

It's definitely too much. Especially with two young kids (I have two little kids, too, so I know how little ground you can cover with toddlers).
I agree with Viajero that you need to cut your home bases. Personally, we loved Granada and would spend some time there, with day trips. Cordoba is a day -- max. So is Ronda, unless you're also doing the white towns from there. We didn't get the attraction of Marbella, unless you're going to relax some there. |
Hola,
Muchas gracias. We will think about less packing and unpacking. Just a little note to let's you know that the first day in Nerja aera is to take it easy with the jetlag and the babies. For Lise, yes we will do some beaches and swimming in the Marbella aera, it can be anywhere on the Costa del Sol. Hasta Luego |
thats a good itinerary but you will need
air con as temps will be 35c + and you will not nee so many days in marbella. ne day max. i live here so i know. try to visit grazalema on your trip to ronda.. lovely pueblo.have a good trip and make sure you take lots of agua. regards. |
I would suggest that two bases would allow you see to see all on your list by day-tripping. My reco would be Seville and one around Malaga. Skip Cordoba.

I love the itinerary, but it is too much with two babies. I would spend more time in Nerja and Marbella and delete some destinations (e.g., Jaen-Ubeda-Baeza). You could use Granada as a base for visiting Cordoba.
