Ancestral Sicilian Towns

If not wanting to drive a car in Sicily, how could I reach my ancestral towns of Valledolma, Villalba, and then St. Anna di Caltabillata?

I'm not sure, but you can get a sense of your public transportation options on rome2rio.com and google maps. And then, if you can't get to those particular towns by public transportation, you can identify places that you can reach and begin to explore options for private drivers.

Good luck!

The first time we went to Sicily, we were without a car and hired a driver for the day to take us from Taormina to an ancestral home in the mountains near Etna. The price was reasonable, and the driver was professional. For your first two towns, you might want to fly into and stay in Palermo and hire a driver who can take you to those places in one day. If the other city is Santa'Anna di Caltabellotta, it would probably require a second trip. I would consider traveling to somewhere like Trapani or Marsala and perhaps hire a driver to visit the second location. And, you could visit more of Sicily (if you hadn't planned to do that), including such places as the Greek ruins at Selinunte. Or, it is also within a reasonable distance of Palermo. ×
