Anatolian Civ. Museum

Hi,

Just wondering if the Anatolian Civilisation Museum (Hitite things) is worth a stopover from Istanbul - Goreme.

Thanks.

If you're interested in antiquities, it is. I found it's collection, which is not limited to the Hitites, very fascinating.
Speaking of ancient artifacts, if you're into museums, don't miss Istanbul's archaeological museum particularly its museum of ancient orient.

Yes, definitely, if you have any interest at all in Turkish history, which is complicated and often confusing. This is a very nice, pleasant and well arranged museum. If in Ankara, anyway, don't miss it.

The museum was an unexpected "find" for us. I have strongly recommended it to friends. It's definitely "worth a detour."
