An evening in the Prague Castle

Hi friends,
I and a group of friends are heading to Prague next August for a whole week visit . I wonder if anyone could tell me how to get from Charles Bridge to the Prague Castle by public transport ? and if we still feel good and decide to try it on foot , which way should we take ? We are considering spending a pleasant evening in the Castle and the adjacent gardens , which of the gardens is a must-see and what would you recommend for a good and not expensive dining there ?

From Charles' Bridge, it's almost a straight way up to the Castle on Narudova street. Take a look at the map. Gardens should be closed at night so don't be disappointed. At night I go there mostly for the night view of the city from its terrace. I go through the castle ground quicly. The cathederal is illuminated but otherwise, not much to see.

On foot, 10 - 15 minutes.

Iris, no, I meant from the way you wrote it, Richard seemed to be the name of the OP. I wondered how Iris knew the name of the op other than mogaly.

Anywy, that's nice, Iris. I have a replica of this in miniature.
