Amsterdam to Spelle
My family will be traveling to a wedding in Spelle Germany. Not to bother the bride. We will be flying from Memphis nonstop via KLM to Amsterdam. What is the best way to get to Spelle. We will have only about 5 hours to spare. Is it possible? Google Earth said about 3 hours to drive. Is there a better way?

topping for you...

www.bahn.de shows a number of quite complicated routes by public transport, all taking about 5 hours, and all involving at least two changes, ending up with at least one bus from Lingen to Spelle.
It looks as though driving is the only option: aim for Osnabruck and turn left soon after the border, by the look of it. |
Train takes about 5 hours - these schedules come from www.bahn.de, the German rail web site

Are there any experienced Germany travelers that can me with this in more details. We will be travel May 24/25 arriving at 11:05am Arrive Amsterdam (AMS). Could I take a train (or 2 connections) and then taxi to Spelle? When we traveled before we had business people to pick us up. I don't remember all the connections. It is hard to do it on your own.
Thank you |
Take the IC221, dept. at 12:34pm, arr. at 4;13pm (only 1 change in Oberhausen)
Then take a taxi from Lingen to Spelle, distance about 26 km, fare under 40 Euro. |
