Amsterdam to Paris train
I'll be taking the train from Amsterdam to Paris, Gare du Nord. I'll be partaking in the legal pleasures of Amsterdam before I board and was concerned about residual odors alerting drug dogs when I arrive. How often are drug dogs at the station? I'm a white male in my late 40's, will I be picked out?

In Amsterdam the legal pleasure is prostitution. Pot is officially illegal but law enforcement does not prosecute. In France you are most likely to be severely ignored no matter how you smell. |
Wasn't it explained on your first post?

hopscotch - in the City of Amsterdam Historical Museum on the exhibit on coffeeshop laws it says that the mayor of Amsterdam in the 1990s LEGALIZED the sale of cannabis inside coffeeshops and the exhibit goes on to say that though it is indeed illegal to bring the coffeesghop's pot in the back door and for consusmers to take it out the front door, it's LEGAL to consume it inside. Now these are not my words by the
City of Amsterdam's. so pot is not officially illegal it seems inside the coffeeshop |
Back to original question - you won't be prosecuted if you don't have any registerable quanitity of pot - and be careful in what you put your pot in -do not put the baggie in your pocket, etc - bring a plastic baggie and keep it all in and you'll certainly have no cause to worry. If they busted folks for residue probably half the train coming from Amsterdam would be detained. And you can expect drug dogs on the train or at Paris stations but on most trains you won't find any, especially in first class as they target young folk.
