Amsterdam to Paris train

I have been looking at train schedules and timetables but am having trouble determining what trains go to Paris from Amsterdam. I seem to only find Thalys, the high speed train. Are there other trains that might be included in a 3 country Eurailpass?

The Thalys would be included with your pass but you would have to pay a small surcharge. I don't know how much or where you find out, maybe someone will post.

There are 'regular' trains between AMS-Brussels, but from Brussels it is only the Thalys.

Hi D,

Before you buy a railpass, enter your itnerary at www.railsaver.com and click "only if it saves money".

There is a route that doesn't go by the THALYS.

See http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/query.exe/en?L=profi&

In terms of using the Thalys services on any railpass: if you DO buy a pass ask the agency you are purchasing it from what the surchare to use a Thalys will be. They will be able to tell you the exact amount required.

Keep in mind the time you want to spend on the train ... some of the regular trains take FOREVER and require multiple train changes/transfers. The Thalys is FANTASTIC - by far the best train co I've ever taken ... I try to take them whenever possible when I'm in France.

Cheers,
Crissy
