Amsterdam to Brussels
Hi, I'm travelling by train from Amsterdam to Brussels. Any pointers would be appreciated.
|
There are Intercity trains every hour - just buy a ticket and get on the train. There are also Thalys high-speed trains for which you have to pay a special fare and book a seat, but these use the same track as the normal trains so are only slightly faster. Schedules and fares should be on www.ns.nl and www.b-rail.be.

Count the windmills! Really, enjoy the view out the window it is lovely!

Why Brussels? I mean you can go to Brugges, Antwerp or Dusseldorf, Koln.

I was not impressed with Brussels. This time when I go in 1 week, I'm instead going to opt for Germany, instead of Belgium.

Do all the trains go from Midi (to Amsterdam)? Not sure if ALL to but many if not most do; if not, it is very very easy to connect between the three main Brussels train stations. Take any train that is going from one station to the other. Look at the updated displays by each platform telling you which trains go where (i.e. to which station).

Andrew
