Amsterdam/Prague or Greece?

5 girls, in 30's, like to have fun and site see. In late September or early October.

Are there any travel restrictions on Greece due to the Iraq war?

5 girls looking for "fun" should head to Falaraki in Greece, lots of "fun" to be had there.

Is Iraq near to Greece? Evidently it neighbours it...pity I didn't fit it in as a day trip when in Athens.

I haven't seen Amsterdam or Prague yet, but I've been to Athens, and it is a bit of a party town...The Greeks like to stay out late and have a good time, at least where I stayed near the Plaka.

We stayed at the Attalos Hotel, a reasonably priced hotel (less that $100/night for a double) with a rooftop bar where we could get an inexpensive beer at the end of the night and look at the Acropolis. The staff was outstanding, and we had a wonderful time there -- so I highly recommend it.

Greece has managed to host the Olympics last summer during hostilities much further south and east in Iraq. There are no known travel restrictions there. We went to Turkey as well, and found many fewer Americans, but it also had no restrictions on our movement.

Good luck,

Jules

Hi rw,

Greece will be warmer, but Amsterdam and Prague are known as fun cities.

How long is the visit?

Prague is such a fun city and with drinks from 30p for a pint of gorgeous czech beer, what more can you ask for?!? oh and the city itself is very beautiful too with a lot of sites to see.

I'd recommend stayin in a hostel, as you get to meet so many people who you can go out and about with and it's much cheaper than a hotel! you'd probably be able to get a private ensuite room for all 5 of you for as little as a £5 each a night.

this is a 10 day trip. the thought (for amsterdam/prague) is to stay a couple of nights in amsterdam (been there before), then train to berlin (stay??) for 3vdays, then on to prague for 3 days. any recommendations of good hostels?

A somewhat related question: does anyone know what the weather is like in Greece in late December? Thanks.

I haven't been to Prague, but have been to Amsterdam several times and Athens..You will have a fun time in Amsterdam, I can guarantee, but Athens is a great city as well..Do some research on both and see what has more attractions that you like!!
We also stayed at the Attalos Hotel in Athens and loved it!!
