Amsterdam or Geneva?

Which city is better for a 2 day visit? We'll be travelling from Paris by train.

Thanks!

My vote between the two would be Amsterdam which, in my opinion, has more interesting things to see and do. I have always thought of Geneva as one of the less attractive cities in an otherwise beautiful country.

Amsterdam.

Or 24-48 hours in Bruges - - plus-or-minus one extra day in Paris.

Best wishes,

Rex
No contest -- Amsterdam. I enjoyed Geneva, but found it one of the dullest cities in Europe.

alison,

Neither. Try going to one of the resort towns (Vevey or Montreux) or one of the villages (Cully, Lutry, Chexbres, Morges, Celigny, Rivaz) on Lake Geneva. Get out of the cities, enjoy the views, and relax!!

s

A'dam would be my choice of the two, but actually I'd go to Delft - an hour closer on the train, and you'll be able to see more of the town in 2 days than Amsterdam. With only 2 days in Amsterdam I'd feel like I'm leaving before I've even scratched the surface. Depends on what you want, though - Delft is way quieter, smaller, more intimate, also less hip.
