Amsterdam in late February

I'm planning a trip to Amsterdam in mid February and was wondering what the temperature is around that time?

Lisa: No one will be able to tell you what kind of weather it will be next February in Amsterdam. But it will definitely be kind of cold and possibly wet as well.

Go to www.worldclimate.com to get an idea about average temps and rainfalls.
Bring warm clothes, good shoes and an umbrella.

If you are lucky, MINUS 10 C, blue skies, sunny clear winter weather. If you are unlucky PLUS 5 C, grey, rainy and misty.

Hey Lisa,

I was in NL for 2 weeks mid-late Feb. this year. And lovely Sjoerd is absolutely right about the weather!

That's the bad news. The good news is that tourist numbers are really down, and I got a very warm & cozy welcome wherever I went. Check out this website for ideas on wonderful places to go for a 'lekker kopje koffee' etc:

http://www.specialbite.com

They'll have their winter round-up live later this year - find a bar or cafe with a fireplace and get friendly with the locals!
Have a wonderful trip
= )

February is usually dry - dryer than Jan or March.Expect cold & dry but take an umbrella. The city is relatively quiet but still buzzing.Good time to visit - look for discounts on accom.

Also gloves wouldn't hurt. We had mostly sunny skies for the week we were there in late February, except for one day of rain. Some biting winds at times but nothing unbearable. There were no lineups anywhere and we had the best time.
