Amsterdam in December

planning a visit to Amsterdam for 6 days in the the middle of December, but a little concerned about the weather, mainly the rain.
Any suggestions for a 6 days itinerary?

We were in Amsterdam for Christmas last year and it didn't rain at all. It was overcast almost everyday and I carried an umbrella with me just in case. The temperature was in the upper 30s - low 40s (F). We dressed in layers and were fine.

Many of the highlights are indoor activities anyway, all the museums and such. Dress appropriately and use any normal itinerary of things to see and do. Except perhaps for catching some sun in Vondelpark... what I did in my 5 day trip would not have changed because of weather.

Be sure to eat one night at the Cafe de Pris on Prinsengracht near the Anne Frank House. It would be so cozy and warm to spend an evening there!

You should go to www.wunderground.com and click on "trip planner" in the top right part of the page. You can enter yoru city and dates and it gives you historical weather info from the last 10 or so years - very helpful for giving you an idea of what to expect!
