Amsterdam - Estherea

Does this hotel have air conditioned rooms?

Thanks.

Can't remember, but hope you find out that it does, because in other respects it's quite swell. Nice bathrooms, good decor in the rooms. Breakfast room a bit dark if you don't get seated in the front. Free internet. Good location. We've stayed in several hotels in AMS and now count this as our favorite.

Their website doesn't mention A/C, nor do two common booking sites...

gto a reply from them.

The bad news is the common areas have a/c but not the rooms.

So I guess in the summer you can just sleep in the common areas.

back to the drawing board.

Any ideas?

You'd need air conditioning in Amsterdam only a few days in a typical summer - maybe none at all! Rarely gets hot.

Would anybody like to comment on what palenqueBob wrote?

That you only need air conditioning in Amsterdam a few days during the summer?

Thanks.

I agree with Bob. I was in Amsterdam once in July and it was cool, almost chilly - like San Francisco. Chances are good you won't nee A/C, but if you are worried, look for a another property.

nee = need (you can imagine my embarrassment)

We were there in mid-June, and it was cool in the evenings. Bring a sweater and jacket.
