Amsterdam/Brussels/Brugge in April- Cold?

Im thinking of taking a 5-7 day trip to Amsterdam/Brussels/Brugge in April... but I live in Spain currently, and I dont have a great deal of heavy duty winter clothes. Also, I prefer to enjoy cities when its not too cold to walk around outside. Anyone whos been to these destinations in early April? Was it painfully cold, or nice out?
Thanks!

This is about the most difficult question to answer! It may rain, it may freeze, it may be sunny and warm. Average in April is between 14-18 deg C.

The chance that it will be really cold or snowy in April is very slim to none. You will have early spring weather - which may be cool or quite cool or warmish - and raining. You will not need heavy clothing - but a raincoat and a sweater to put underneath when it gets chilly will be necesary.

Dress in layers. April will not be freezing in western Benelux but it can have cold winds and showers. Then again, I was sunbathing on the beach at Zandvoort in late April about 5 years ago. Average hi/lo is 55/40 or so, and conditions change quickly.

My husband and I went to Amsterdam last April and it was beautiful and sunny. The temp was in the 60's with a nice breeze. A light jacket is always good to have.
