Amsterdam apartment - Brouwersgracht

Hello. I visited Amsterdam last year for the first time and decided I must return for a week and rent an apartment. I found one possibility located on the Brouwersgracht but am unfamiliar with the neighborhood. I thought I would prefer the Jordaan or Vondelpark area and fear the Brouwersgracht may be too close to the train station - too funky. Can anyone tell me about this street/neighborhood?

As I recall, one charming end of it is in the Jordaan, would this apartment be at the other end?

Anyway, take a look.

I'd have thought the end near the railway station isn't bad.

Hi

Brouwersgracht is a lovely street - very central - walking distance to centraal station and the Jordaan. Lovely canal, fairly quiet with lots of houseboats. A great base.

Hope this helps.

I agree w/ amberbee - Brouwersgracht is a very nice canal (street?) and a good base location.
