I plan to be in Amsterdam in late Nov., and then travel to Copenhagen (via plane) in early Dec. How easy will it be for me to carry some space cakes and/or magic mushrooms with me? Thanks...

Carrying such around in A-dam won;t be a problem...carrying them into Denmark might be another matter depending on how thorough Danish Customs might be.

You should be aware that, technically, the substances marijuana and hash are illegal in The Netherlands...but their use is "tolerated."

Oh, it would be very easy for you to attempt traveling with these items.

But the greater question: How easy would you find it to be busted and/or deported?

As a follow-on to your question: I believe both countries are parties to the Schengen Agreement so you probably won't even HAVE to go through Customs when you enter Denmark. So, that makes their use in that country your big "what if?"

Why not bring them back into the US too? perhaps the sniffer beagles won;t catch you?

(Is this too childish or what? If you're a drug user you know where to find what you want - readily available anywhere in europe, just like here - and wouldn;t be aksing these silly questions. If you're not, why in the world do this? Second childhood?)

There is no need to be rude, but exporting drugs of any sort or amount could get you in serious trouble for life..So don't do it..
