Amsterdam Accommodation for 4 single males?

Four of us are doing a trip to Amsterdam. We are arriving by rail from Paris and will be in Amsterdam for a couple of nights.

I was hoping someone could recommend a hotel that would be suitable. We are not really looking for hostel (real budget) accommodation. Just a decent hotel in the best possible spot for us to enjoy ourselves. By this I mean, witness the red light district, go to a nightclub etc.

Thanks in advance :)

I'm 'topping' your post...
Do you want a couple of twin rooms, or a quad or what..?
And how much were you hoping to spend per room/night?

Two double rooms should be easy enough to find. Or are you hoping all to share one, and need a 'quad'?

Try these:

http://www.singelhotel.nl/ Twin 129-159€

http://www.avenue-hotel.nl/ Twin & Quad, contact hotel

http://www.acro-hotel.nl/index2.php
Twin 75 - 150 € / Quad 105 - 220 €

The Winston hotel is in the red light district. Some rooms are relatively cheap, and some aren't.

I've stayed at the Hotel Terminus with a small group. They have a few rooms for 4. Pretty cheap, basic but clean sort of place, great location for what you want; 5-10 mins walk from Central station, on edge of red light district so all is on your doorstep without being stuck too far into the really seedy bits. Can recommend the Grasshopper cafe just up the road.
