Amsterdam - a new photo gallery

Hi all,
My photo gallery of Amsterdam is finally up. It was my first time in Amsterdam and technically it wasn't even a trip - but a long (~11 hours) connection on my way from NYC to Tel-Aviv.
I was quite tired when I got to the city, after a sleepless night flight and a long ride from the airport (I got on the wrong train at Schiphol and it took me a while to figure out that instead of heading to Amsterdam, I was going in the opposite direction :) ). I also went there without planning - since I had about 7-8 hours there, my plan was just to wander around in the city center and make some photographs. Which is exactly what I did :-)
I was lucky with the weather that day - it was a beautiful sunny day, at least for the first half of day.

Anyway, here are the photographs -

Enjoy :-)

Those are fabulous! I am so jealous, I keep having crappy weather most of the times I've been in Amsterdam. Just love the reflection shots.

Absolutely beautiful compositions and colors! You are so very talented. I agree, with only a few hours in Amsterdam, you certainly captured some delightful sights! Makes me want to go back for another visit soon--especially in the fall. Thanks for sharing.

What kind of post-processing did you do to bring out these colors? Did you use HDR? Incredible...

Thanks all :-)

Yes, some of the images were made using some sort of pseudo-HDR post processing (these images have _HDR in their names). I say "pseudo-HDR", because these are not real HDR images - but several different exposures derived from a single RAW file. Then I combine these exposures in image editing software to get these results.

Loved the pics! You had a perfect day. Glad you sorted out the train mistake in time. ;^) What program did you use with the RAW files? You've got me interested in trying this now I've seen some of you wonderful results.

Thanks,

I use the Capture One RAW software from Phase One.

Oleg.
