how to get to chambord castle if bus only active in May??
Hello I am interested in going to Chateau Cahmbord but I haven't been able to figure out a way that gets me there by bus because the website says they only are available beginning in May. I tried to e-mail them but I got no answer. Any help would be appreciated!

When are you going? Before May? Then a long taxi ride from Blois train station may be your only option. I'd e-mail the Blois Tourist Office or call them and ask if the navettes to Chambord are available before May 1 - or any other bus but the rural area Chambord is in is poorly served by public transportation.

You could:
Rent a car
Look into van tours (from paris or Tours)
Taxi from nearest train station
(Many of the chateaux are in very small towns with extremely limited access except by car or tour van/bus.)

It would be helpful to know from where you are wanting to travel to Chambord. There are mini bus tours from either Blois or Tours. Details are available here:
http://www.bloispaysdechambord.com/
http://www.ligeris.com/
It would also be helpful to know to whom you have sent email inquiries. The Office de Tourisme in Blois, listed above, can answer questions such as this. They also have bicycles for rent which you can use to reach Chambord.
However, if it is public transportation you want to use, the appropriate schedules from Blois are available here. This site is available in French only:

You will want the stop Saint-Gervais-la-Foret - Chambord which is on bus line 14.
