Hi .. Will be in amsterdam 4 night 8/27-31.
Ay suggested museum itineraries.
Special places ..not just touristique..
Any recommendations... or discoveries you can share?..
This is My first visit.. Would like recs for non touristy restaurants. Places local people go to..Any cuisines..

Savini on Spuistraat, near Crowne Plaza and Dam Square/shopping street. Great tasting pizza and red wine. It seems to be a local favorite??? There are always many locals there when we are dining there.

For museums, don't miss seeing Van Gogh collections.

Be sure to take a canal boat ride.. for about an hour an a half.
You will see many o the major places in Amsterdam.

Bern, on Nieuwmarkt. Cheese fondue, but the best outside of Switzerland.

Museum Willet Holthuijsen.

Het Loosje, also on Nieuwmarkt

Latei, on Zeedijk.

All non touristy.
