AMS, Bru, Paris December
 

My wife and I are going to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris what is the best train bet AMS to Bru and Bru to Paris

The Thalys is a nice way to go. You don't get much advantage between Amsterdam and Brussels and some may argue that is a place to take a non-premier train, but it really flies between Brussels and Paris. :)

Amsterdam Centraal to Bruxelles Midi you get some Thalys (2h39) with mandatory seat reservation and more Intercity (2h51) trains where you don't need reservations.

From Brux-Midi to Paris (Gare du Nord) it's all Thalys unless you cobble together an itinerary of slower trains (good idea if you want to stop en route).

IC trains leave Amsterdam Centraal for Brussels Zuid every hour on the :23. You can buy your ticket in Amsterdam.

Full fare on THALYS is 74.5E, but there are often lower SMILYS fares.

Thanks all , for the info, right now it looks like the Smilys fares are the best bet, if I can get them.

Smilys fare only apply for certain trains on certain days, and require 14-day in advance.

For Amsterdam-Brussels, regular full fare for IC trains is only 33.4 euro. The seats are not as comfortable, but if you're going to Brussels city center, it may actually be faster because you can get off at Central instead of Midi.

Out of topic :
how did those answering know that the poster speaks about BRUxelles and not Brugges or...Bru (my husband comes from a town called "BRU", that's in France)
