Americans in Sevilla?

I’m an American grad student who studies the music of Corpus Christi, and I'm currently in Seville for a couple weeks (through June 9th) to experience the holiday first hand. I am here by myself, and my Spanish is muy escaso, so I’m looking for other Americans (preferably other young students, but really, any speakers of the Queen’s English) with whom to hang, drink beer, embarrass ourselves when addressed in Spanish, etc. I am fun and not even a little creepy (promise!), just a stranger in a strange land.

You might post on the thorntree forum as the usual age on this board is a bit older.

Haven't you met other students hanging out in the bars, squares, etc?

I have seen this on TA too; so maybe they find someone.

I'm not in Seville, but you sound fun. (adrienne's suggestion of the Thorntree is good.)

here's a radical idea: you're in sevilla, one of the world's great cities. why not immerse yourself in the culture. you can hang out with americans when you go home

Go to the Irish pubs, there are plenty of Aussies and Brits there and they claim to speak English.

Oh, I'm doing my fair share of cultural immersion. It would just be nice to hear my own voice articulate something other than broken sentences sometime over the next couple weeks. Jent103, thanks! Look me up if you're ever in North Cackalack.
