Amazing chocolatier near rue Grenelle in Paris?

Hi,

I remember there is this amazing chocolatier near rue Grenelle in Paris, probably at the corner of rue Saint Dominique and rue Amelie, but I just can't remember the name of it! It is really small, the window front is always full of chocolate animals - bunnies, eggs, and whatnot. I think the name of the chocolatier is Michel something, and one of their best products is pave(with accent aigue over the e), a small piece of chocolate that cannot stay outside the fridge for over 20 minutes. I'd really appreciate any help and/or clue that people can offer me...Thanks a lot!!

Would it possibly be Chaudun Michel chocolatier at 149 rue de l'Universite? It's right at the crossroads with rue Malar and is one block above rue Saint-Dominique.

The pave is the most famous chocolate of chocolatier Michel Chaudon. I am pretty sure that's where you were.

They have the bunnies, etc. and lots of seasonal items. I once saw a beautiful chocolate salami there.

Yummy! I like to stay in the 7th, just to be close to Michel Chaudon.

I agree it's probably Michel Chaudun... my hubbie's FAVORITE chocolatier in Paris. He can't wait to get there... just a few more weeks.

And I thought I had a more or less full list of all the AMAZING chocolatiers in Paris. Well, I was wrong.
Some more worth noting, maybe, although they're not in very touristic areas: Denise Acabo, 30 rue Fontaine, 9eme, if you happen to be in the area for the lovely Musee de la Vie romantique. A nice woman, she was extolling the virtues of Nora Jones, in English, while I was visiting her shop. I can still taste the gianduia ball I had right there, as lunch for that day.
A devoted "Parisian" living here in Tel Aviv who's written a book about Paris' delights, recommends Tholoniat, at 47 rue de Chateau d'Eau, 10eme, not the prettiest place in Paris, but my parents loved the beautiful chocolates.
In Montparnasse, he recommends Confiserie du Maine, 85 Ave. du Maine.
I have 37 days to go. By the way, Thanks, Kat, for the recommendation on Bistro d'Opio - the menu looks great. I intend to try it.

Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to order chocolates from Michel Chaudun in Paris? I do have a phone number, but would like to know if they are available on-line. These are the best chocolates I have ever had. Thanks!

I'm sitting here at my computer right now eating one of Michel Chaudon's paves - I purchased many boxes to give to my friends but when I arrived home found everyone is out of town - so, unfortunately, I will have to eat them all myself. It will be a burden but I will manage somehow! They are absolutely the best.
