Amalfi trip at the end of October : Warm enough for the beach?

Hi,
Is it too cool in late October to enjoy the beaches and hotel pool in Amalfi? If so, I'd like to change my hotel reservation to a hotel without a pool that is $40 a night cheaper.

I don't think there is an exact reply.
I can also tell you that last year it was so: warm enough for the beach until last days of October: sun, sea and no crowd.
However, maybe nobody can tell you exactly what happens this current year.

Vincenzo is right on. We were in Nerano in late October last year where the water was clear and warm. Ahhh....so relaxing after the rigors of Rome.

I was on my honeymoon in Positano from 26 Oct-4 Nov 2001, and the weather was in the low 70's it was not warm enough to swim or lay out on the beach. There were a few folks on the beach but the weather really wasn't warm enough. Try looking at some weather websites and get and idea of what the average temperature is that time of year. I would take the cheaper hotel and spend the difference on FOOD AND BOOZE!!!! Have fun...
