Amalfi traffic in September?

Does the Amalfi Coast traffic thin out/let up any in September?

Thanks for any replies.

We were there for a week in September and, though I can't compare it to other months, it wasn't bad at all. It certainly did not detract from our enjoyment...

Hi Jinx,

I've visited in March when there was little to no traffic and SITA buses were a pleasure.

Last time it was Sept and what a difference! Buses were packed, late, or just didn't show up at all. Trying to get around was misery. If you go in Sept, I highly recommend staying in one of the towns with boat service and getting around by sea, or just parking yourself in one of the towns, relaxing and just enjoy being there! That's the whole point of the Amalfi Coast anyway, relaxing.

Buon viaggio!
