Amalfi/Sorrento in October

Any thoughts on going to Amalfi and Sorrento at the end of October? How will the weather be and will the region be empty?

I have been to Amalfi in Oct. and it was delightful weather.

No region in Italy will ever be empty.
It is a year-round destination. :)

We honeymooned in Sorrento & Positano at end of October...weather was mixed each day. You should expect sun at times and light showers at times. We did not have any day that was a total wash-out, but if you plan to take a trip to Capri, be flexible in case the Bay is choppy and they have to cancel some trips.

We found most everything open and functioning but I feel that it was probbaly less crowded than it might have been at other times of the year.

Hi doc,

End of Oct is near the end of the shoulder season.

Weather could be cold, rainy and foggy, or not.
