We will be staying at the Il Saraceno Grand Hotel in Amalfi for 7 days in July. Can you help us with day trips, preferably by some kind of boat? Restaurants? Out of the way things to see or do? Thanks so much. Joan

You will be able to plan visits to Amalfi,Positano,Sorrento,Capri,Ravello,
Pompeii,Paestum,

The usual suspects are:

SITA bus or ferry to Sorrento

SITA bus or ferry to Amalfi and bus to Ravello

ferry to Capri

We took the ferry to Salerno, the train to Paestum, for the Greek ruins, trained back to Salerno and SITA bus back by way of Amalfi.

Thanks for the info. What about getting to Ischia? Is this a possibility and how? Also, what would be the best way to get to Pompeii? How long would it take?
