Amalfi coast:is conca dei marini a good base to explore the coast?

We are going to be there in June and expect to stay there for 4 nights.
Is conca dei marini too inconvenient to explore positano, capri and ravello?
The property I'm looking at has a water taxi that is 5 mins from amalfi.

That's the link for the place.
Any comments?

Will you have a car? If so, I think that place looks nice.

From what I've been reading everyewhere, driving on the AC sounds terrible.
I'm not sure whether to rent a car or not.
On a side note, we are inflorence before the AC,and we would love to hire a car to visit Tuscany, and then drive down the coast, but I don't know if this is recommended?

Car is usually not recommended on the AC -- tight roads, limited parking, etc.. Buses and ferries are the usual mode of transportation.

You want to rent a car when leaving Florence, use it to visit Tuscany, and then drive it to the AC? Is that correct?

Sounds OK. You probably would want to drop the car off in Sorrento and hire a driver or use bus service to take you to your accommodation.

Water taxis are usually very expensive. I wouldn't want to stay somewhere with such difficult transport.
